Me too, real tools like brushes and crowquills do make a difference. Pentel brushpens make for a very standarized result. Good to carry around for sketching outside but definitely not for studio use. I am glad dumped them. Besides you don't even get your hands dirty with them. What is the point then, right?
I am quickly becoming addicted to using ink. I haven't tried it for life drawing yet but I really want to after seeing these!
