Cleaning up my hard drive I stumbled upon some old drawings done in Venice last year. I was there in a workshop with Yuko Shimizu. If you see an ad for it next summer you should go for it. Yuko is great and the atmosphere is amazing.

A few sketches of Valladolid, here is what they are, the bus station while waiting for ruki, a church near the studio, a cropping from the view from my apartment and an abandoned factory in an abandoned park. It is nice to find new spots in your old town.

Some more quick ink sketches. I added a couple of figures to that previous sketch just for the sake of it. I have recently completed a couple of books, once they are out I will upload a bit of the process, but for now just sketches.
These are some rough tests from a fun collaborative project for Cars & Trains' new album. I joined forces with César to create a mix of traditional and computer animation for a music video.

Some more travel sketches done while I was in Madrid for the day and had some extra time in Chamartín train station. The last one is and old mall in between Tribunal and Alonso Martínez. It is not one of those beautiful city markets that had become living postcards for tourists but more alike those in an Italian neorealist film. It was inhabited by hard working people, people from the area and some shady characters. From the strong smells to the overall grittyness, this place loomed with everyday weirdness. I have to come back soon.
First is the building next to my studio, an old house I would not mind swapping to. The other is a warehouse falling apart next to the railroads somewhat close to my apartment. Close to where the people made of pieces live. They guard the abandoned trains and watch out for the unwanted visitors. -You better stay out, this is no place for happy campers!, said the biker with no teeth.

Here is a selection of some quick sketches of buildings in Basel from my recent trip. There is a singular combination of contemporary and classical architecture. For drawing I had no choice but to go with the classic.
A quick sketch of César, while enjoying the best Spanish omelette in Valladolid at Libertad 3.
